Chasing dreams

On September 29-30, 2022, the new location of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences will be officially opened, which is located on the university campus at Rokietnicka Street in Poznań. The opening ceremony of the first building of the Collegium Pharmaceuticum complex and the Center for Innovative Pharmaceutical Technology (CITF) will be combined with the International Conference "NEW TRENDS in Polish and global pharmacy: Science, business, and modern education".

The community of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the PUMS has been waiting for many years for a place enabling the consolidation of strategic departments in order to develop science and innovation and to optimize the use of existing resources. Thanks to the favor and commitment of the Rector - prof. Andrzej Tykarski - as well as with the support and efforts of many people, the building, distinguished by a modern shape, with perfectly planned interiors, creating friendly conditions for research and implementation of the educational process in line with the contemporary and future challenges of pharmaceutical sciences, was completed.

Collegium Pharmaceuticum is something more than infrastructure, it is a space where education, research, technology and business interpenetrate, setting standards for the future. Therefore, the conference accompanying the opening is thematically related to new perspectives in pharmacy and medicine. The program of this event includes, among others lectures by distinguished speakers, convention of the Deans of Pharmaceutical Faculties of Medical Universities, unveiling of a plaque commemorating prof. Konstanty Hrynakowski, an exhibition of photographs documenting the creation of Collegium Pharmaceuticum, as well as a gala dinner. The conference will be stationary.

CITF is a university platform for cooperation between science and industry, the concept of which was created in response to the growing need for cooperation between the science sector and the economy in the context of interdisciplinary research. Thanks to the launch of CITF, innovative research and development works carried out by PUMS and their marketization will contribute to increasing the level of competitiveness, especially in the context of commercialization of scientific research and knowledge transfer, as well as building and maintaining permanent relations with the economic environment. Therefore, CITF is also a space for development and promotion for innovative entrepreneurs, whom we invite to participate in the event in a special way.

The new seat of the Faculty of Pharmacy PUMS, distinguished by unique architecture, surrounded by a garden of medicinal and cosmetic plants, with the effect of its implementation into the building thanks to large glazing, with modern laboratory and technological facilities, specialized equipment, numerous seminar rooms, sets a new quality in thinking about space for science and becomes a symbol of the development of Faculty of Pharmacy PUMS.
